What we collect
Effective October 3, 2026. Named by section 11 of the Rigless License.
This site
We don't set cookies or run analytics, and the fonts, images and scripts all load from this domain. The one outside request is the downloads page asking crates.io for the latest runtime version when it opens, which shows crates.io your IP address the same way visiting crates.io would. No other page tells a third party you were here. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, whose edge servers keep access logs under the AWS privacy notice. We don't do anything with those logs.
The software
On the Evaluation and Community plans there's no license check, so the software sends nothing. On Team and Enterprise it sends a license token, the product version and a host identifier to the license service, and that's all. An Enterprise deployment can use an offline license bundle instead, which sends nothing. Your firmware, plant models, traces and signal data stay on your machines. There's no telemetry, so there's nothing to opt out of. Installing the runtime only downloads from crates.io.
The contact form
What you type becomes an email to us. It goes to our address on our domain without passing through a third-party form service, which is why the contact page doesn't load anything from anyone else either. We keep it like any other email, as described below. Our replies carry no tracking pixels, and sending the form doesn't subscribe you to anything.
Email and orders
We keep email for as long as the conversation or an order needs it. For an order, we keep what the order names, which is the contacts, the named seats and the billing details, for the term and for as long afterward as tax law requires. We don't sell any of it. The only people we pass it to are the payment processor and the accountant, who need it to do their jobs.
Your rights
If you want to know what we hold about you, ask and we'll tell you. We'll correct or delete it on request unless a law or an active contract means we have to keep it, and in that case we'll tell you which one. Email hello@riglesslabs.com.
Changes
When this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what we collect from customers under an order, we tell those customers in writing before it takes effect.
